Dhruva Natchathiram New Release Date Announced: Here's Why Vikram-Gautham Menon's Action Spy Film Is Delayed

Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One- Yuddha Kaandam is an upcoming action spy thriller helmed by maverick filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon. The movie has been in the making for quite some time now and fans of the versatile actor are breathing a sigh of relief as the new theatrical release date is announced.

At first, the project was supposed to be made with Suriya in the lead, marking another exciting collaboration with the director after Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram, in 2013. However, it was shelved after creative differences cropped up between them. Later, the production began with Vikram in the lead in 2016. It has been one helluva journey in the production phase for the unit which shot in seven countries.

John is a New York-based undercover operative. He and his team are entrusted with the responsibility of a secret mission that involves retrieving their team leader who goes mysteriously missing.

Dhruva Natchathiram Release Date

Finally, the filmmakers announced the release date as November 24, 2023. Due to financial constraints faced by Gautham Menon, the movie's production remained languished. Announcing the release date, the makers released a glimpse titled 'TrailBlazer,' to keep the fans hooked.

The action spy thriller stars Vikram as John and Dhruv. Ritu Varma played the role of Anupama. Aishwarya Rajesh, R Parthiban, Simran, Dhivyadharshini, Vinayakan, Arjun Das, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Vamsi Krishna, Sathish Krishnan, Munna Simon, Salim Baig, Maya S Krishnan, Preethi Nedumaran, and Abhirami Venkatachalam among others played important characters in the film.

The movie was written, produced, and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. He penned the screenplay as well. A set of talented cinematographers like Manoj Paramahamsa, SR Kathir, and Vishnu Dev worked on the film. Jomon T. John was an additional crew for the cinematography department. Praveen Antony worked as the film's editor. Harris Jayaraj re-united with Gautham Menon once again to compose the entire soundtrack.
