Doctors To Thirudan Police: Top 5 Dhanush Films That Were Shelved After Poster Release!

From Kollywood to Hollywood, actor Dhanush is a successful star now. Almost all the films released so far in his acting have been well received by the people. His upcoming film Vaathi directed by Venki Atluri is all set to release on February 17, 2023. A list of Dhanush movies that were shelved halfway through the production is currently going viral on social media.

The first film to be released for director Vetrimaaran was National Highway. Dhanush played the lead role in it. However, the film was shelved due to unknown reasons. Later Polladhavan was released in the alliance of Dhanush and Vetrimaran. Then again the film Udhayam NH4 starring Siddharth was released with the same story under the direction of Vetrimaran's assistant director Manimaran.

Dhanush's film Thirudan Police was announced to be directed by the famous cinematographer Aravindkrishna. Yuvan Shankar Raja was said to be the music composer of the film. It was again shelved after a proper photoshoot and announcement of the film.

Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam was the movie directed by Selvaraghavan starring Dhanush and Andrea. Most of the scenes of the film have been shot. Later they silently closed the chapter without proper explanation. It was said to be Andrea's debut Tamil film. Irandaam Ulagam starring Arya ad Anushka after many years of this film is said to be having the same storyline.

Soodhaadi is a movie directed by Vetrimaaran starring Dhanush, Parthiban, Meenakshi and Lakshmi Menon. The film got shelved halfway after 5 days of shooting.

Dhanush and Sonia Aggarwal starrer movie Doctors was again directed by Selvaraghavan. The film was announced with a poster. But, due to some reasons, the film has been suddenly dropped.

Out of the above mentioned 5 films, four were directed by Selvaraghavan and Vetrimaaran. The decision of shelving these films might have been due to various reasons but the bonding of Dhanush with Vetrimaaran and Selvaraghavan is evident to everyone. Dhanush always says both their names as the major reason for his success in acting career.
