Stories
dealing
with
simple
conflicts
and
human
emotions
often
leave
a
lasting
impression
on
the
audience.
Erumbu,
which
begins
with
a
setting
common
in
Tamil
cinema,
turns
out
to
be
a
beautiful
story
about
two
siblings
who
find
themselves
in
an
unusual
situation.
Sibling
Love

Financial

The

explores
family,

and

Directed
by
Suresh,
Erumbu
touches
on
the
harsh
realities
of
life
and
the
struggles
some
people
face
on
a
daily
basis.
It
also
shows
that
the
universe
never
abandons
the
good
hearted
and
may
even
throw
some
surprises
in
life.
Crux
Of
The
Story
A
small
girl
and
her
little
brother
decide
to
earn
some
money
to
compensate
for
a
lost
gold
ring.
Their
poor
family
is
in
financial
crisis.
Can
they
solve
the
problem?
The
story
is
about
whether
you
can
earn
what
you
want.
Situ
character
adds
a
lot
of
weight
to
the
story.
Even
though
he
is
portrayed
as
mentally
retarded,
the
little
things
he
does
make
a
big
impact.
The
humor
in
the
film
works
at
a
few
places
and
it
supports
the
story.
The
performances
of
the
two
child
actors
are
also
noteworthy.
They
bring
a
sense
of
innocence
with
their
roles.
The
chemistry
between
the
two
siblings
is
palpable
and
their
relationship
forms
the
heart
of
the
film.
Background
Music
Could've
Been
Better
Although
there
are
some
flaws
in
the
filmmaking,
they
are
forgivable
as
long
as
the
director's
intention
is
good.
Some
of
the
transitions
and
sound
mixes
aren't
professional
enough
for
the
big
screen,
but
this
isn't
a
major
hindrance.
If
the
team
had
worked
a
little
more
on
the
background
score,
the
emotions
would
have
been
better
at
many
places,
especially
in
the
scene
where
Annadurai's
daughter
has
an
imaginary
conversation
on
the
phone
with
her
late
mother.
