Kollywood's popular actor-director G Marimuthu aka Ethirneechal Marimuthu died of a sudden cardiac arrest in Chennai on September 8. Condolences have been pouring in from the entire industry and fans.

Marimuthu's Last Wish Remains Unfulfilled
Marimuthu was closely associated with Ajith as he worked on several of his films as an assistant director in the 1990s. In one of his previous interviews, Marimuthu shared about their friendship.
According to a report from Hindustan Times, Marimuthu was quoted saying, "Ajith helped me a lot. He is very fond of me. It's out of touch right now. A little far away. I am going to act with him in my next film. Then I am going to share everything with him.
Aasi, while working with him during Vaali, was very sweet and he used to take me on his bike. Ajith is a very simple person. During the shooting times, Aasi used to wear a helmet and came to the location on his bike. This was during Vaali.
Ajith Paid School Fees For Marimuthu's Son
When I shared with Ajith that I wanted to enroll my son in a good school and couldn't afford the admission fee, Ajith immediately sent his manager and settled it for me. He paid my son's fee for the next eight years. Whenever I used to go to the school to clear the payments, they told me that they already received it from Ajith's office. I just don't have words to thank him."
Marimuthu then continued, "I could not meet Ajith after Veeram. His lifestyle changed and he became a hardened man due to the betrayal he faced. He built his life around his wife, and children, and is a family man. He arranged houses for all his workers and made decisions without even thinking twice."
The actor's death was reportedly predicted by an astrologer, according to the buzz that is going around on the internet. He was 57 at the time of his death, and his funeral will be held at his house in Chennai at 6 p.m. on September 8, reportedly.
