Marimuthu has been acting in Tamil cinema for more than 30 years. Currently, he is playing the character of Gunasekaran in SunTV's Ethirneechal serial, and this serial has received huge response from the fans. He has done some films as a director before but those films did not work big for him. He played an important role in Yuddham Sei, which was released under the direction of Mysskin.

This film gave him more acting opportunities. Marimuthu, who has continued to play character roles in films like Pariyerum Perumal, Marudhu, Sultan, Koottathil Oruvan and Bhairava, has been garnering special attention. It has been reported that he is being paid a monthly salary of 75 lakh rupees for acting in the Ethirneechal serial.

Astrologers' Police Complaint Against Marimuthu

His character is also an important reason for this serial to get more points in TRP. A few weeks ago, Marimuthu had spoken against astrologers on a debate show organized by a private channel. He had accused astrologers as unforgivable criminals and those astrologers are the reason why our country is still going backward.

He also questioned why they did not tell about tsunami and corona in advance. The event created a huge sensation. Marimuthu was criticized by astrologers. Meanwhile, an astrologer named Arumugam from Sethtur, Virudhunagar district, had sent a legal notice against Marimuthu asking for an explanation.

More than 30 astrologers have filed a complaint against Marimuthu at Thiruchengode police station. And they besieged the police station causing a commotion. After the inspector promised to take action against Marimuthu, they dispersed. There is a fear among the serial team that if any action is taken against Marimuthu on this complaint, there will be a great impact on the Ethirneechal serial's TRP rating.
