Former Adult Film Actress Shakeela Recalls Old Memories, "I Used To Earn Rs. 4 Lakh Per Day"

Actress Shakila is known for playing lead roles in adult films in Tamil and Malayalam, even though she had acted in some character roles in Tamil films like Jayam, Azhagiya Thamzh Magan, etc. After a long hiatus from her entertainment career, Shakeela made a comeback through the Vijay TV's reality show, Cooku With Comali. After her participation in the show, she earned much respect from fans, who have been addressing her as "Shakila Amma."

In an interview, she opened up about her past life and the hardships she faced. She said, "There are so many wrong information about me. My Wikipedia page says that I own a luxury flat and a BMW car. But those are not a reality. I still live in a rented house." She also recalled her past and how she gave all the money she earned through adukt films to her sister. Shakeela said, "I used to earn Rs. 4 lakh per day. Such was a popularity. But my sister took all my money and I had nothing left for myself."

Meanwhile, Shakeela, who is presently hosting interviews on a popular YouTube channel, recently made the headlines by speaking about how Mollywood megastar Mammootty tactfully stopped her movie releases. She said, "Though my films were mostly made on small budgets, they gave stiff fights even to the movies of superstars. I came to know that Malayalam actor Mammootty, who was unhappy about the fact, made it difficult for my movies to be released. In fact, it was one of the reasons for me to stop acting in Malayalam movies."

She also made the headlines a few months back when she took part in a protest held by the people belonging to a residential apartment in Chennai. It was alleged that the water supply for the residents of the apartment located in Chennai's Choolaimedu was cut for weeks. Shakeela has also been starring in character roles in several Tamil movies.
