Gautham Vasudev Menon REVEALS Why He Opted Out Of Vikram, “Will Never Act Alongside Kamal Haasan”

Gautham Vasudev Menon is one of the top directors of Kollywood. Though he has delivered several successful movies, the filmmaker has been acting in several movies off late. Starting with Malayalam movie Trance, Gautham Menon's force in acting has been unstoppable. In Tamil, he re-ventured into acting with the critically acclaimed film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyathithaal.
Here's why Gautham Menon skipped Vikram
In a recent interview, Gautham Menon revealed that he skipped an opportunity to work alongside Kamal Haasan. He said, "Lokesh Kanagaraj approached me for a role in Vikram. I asked him about the role and also asked him if I would have to share the screen space with Kamal Haasan, and when Lokesh said yes, I immediately denied the role. Kamal Haasan is a genius. I ventured into acting recently so it would make me nervous to act along with him. So, I skipped the movie. Later, that role was played by Semban Vinoth. Not just Vikram, even if I get an opportunity to act with Kamal, I would never take it up."
Gautham also opened up about his role in Leo
Gautham Menon also stated that he accepted to act in Leo only for Lokesh Kanagaraj. Speaking of Leo, the film has Thalapathy Vijay as the leading man, while Trisha Krishnan will be seen playing his romantic interest. This film reunites Vijay and Trisha after years. Leo is a highly anticipated movie for more than one reason. It also brings together Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their previous blockbuster project, Master. Leo's music is being helmed by Anirudh Ravichander.
