Indian 2: Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal & Crew To Shoot Non-Stop For 30 Days For A New Schedule At THIS Place!

Kamal Haasan and director S Shankar's 1996 blockbuster film Indian is now getting a sequel that is underway after two and a half decades. The director-actor duo excited the fans with their collaboration for its sequel long back.
While it is a known fact that production of Indian 2 was halted for a while after the filming kick-started, post the success of Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' which has sent shock waves across the Tamil Nadu film industry with its mind-blowing longest theatrical run and gross collection, the movie unit came together for a new shooting schedule.
According to the latest updates, Shankar, who is juggling between Ram Charan's RC 15 with Kiara Advani under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations and Indian 2 under Lyca Productions, is now set to go shooting for the movie with Kamal Haasan and other crucial crew in Chennai for a long schedule spanning one month. It is reported that the makers want to finish an entire schedule within 30 days without a break in specially erected sets at Adithya Ram Studios in Chennai. Later, for another schedule, the team will leave for a foreign destination.
Indian 2 stars Kajal Agarwal in the female lead role along with Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar in other female roles. In addition to them, the movie includes renowned actors like Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Siddharth, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Guru Somasundaram, Vennela Kishore, George Maryan, Manobala, Vinod Sagar, Deepa Shankar, and Sivaji Guruvayoor among others. Indian 2 is scheduled to hit the screens in october of 2023.
Coming to the technical crew of Indian 2, the makers roped in Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman to work on the cinematography. Shankar opted for youngster Anirudh Ravichander to score the film's entire soundtrack and tunes while A Sreekar Prasad is on board as the editor.
Subaskaran Allirajah and Udhayanidhi Stalin are producing the movie under the Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies banners. Yash Raj Films is distributing the movie.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is also in the mode of recommencing his long time shelved movies post the success of Vikram. He is actively listening to scripts of new-age directors.
