Jailer: After Screening At Lucknow, Veteran Rajinikanth Pays A Visit To Ayodhya With His Wife In Tow; Deets In
Following the film's release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, the superstar flew to Badrinath immediately. Later, on August 18, the veteran attended the special screening of Jailer in Lucknow. He met SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, who watched Jailer with several other VIPs including the deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya.
When in Lucknow, the Thalaivar paid a visit to Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav's residence in Lucknow. Speaking on the occasion, Rajinikanth recollected that he met the SP chief about nine years ago and has been friends with him ever since. According to a report in Mint, Rajinikanth said, "I met Akhilesh Yadav 9 years ago at a function in Mumbai and we are friends since then, we talk on the phone. Five years ago when I came here for a shoot but I couldn't meet him, now he is here so I met him."
On the same day, Rajinikanth also met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Speaking to the reporters, Rajinikanth reacted, "It is God's blessing that the movie is becoming a hit."
Jailer stars Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Vinayakan, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley among others in key roles. The movie is performing exceptionally at the box office.
Jailer Story
The movie is the story of a retired Jailer Muthu, whose son, a strict ACP gets kidnapped. Muthu lives a peaceful life but when he learns that his son was no more, he sets out to avenge his death. A flashback of Muthu unravels, and there is a twist. What happens next, is to be seen on the big screen.
Kalanithi Maran produced the movie under the Sun Pictures banner. The budget was Rs 200 Crore. Vijay Kartik Kannan cranked the camera, and Anirudh Ravichander composed outstanding background score and music. R Nirmal worked as the editor of Jailer.
