Actor Karthi brought an exhilarating crime-comedy drama titled Japan, which was written and directed by Raju Murugan. Karthi played the titular role of a thief who is after gold and so much gold. The movie was reportedly based on a real-life burglar who stole Rs 200 Crore worth of jewelry.

The movie Japan was released for the Diwali holiday weekend in Tamil and Telugu on November 10. Karthi is receiving applause for his performance as Japan in the movie and the film opened amid decent expectations.

In the first opening weekend, Karthi's Japan earned decent numbers at the box office in India. The movie made about Rs 11.64 Crore from its Telugu and Tamil versions. Here is the fourth-day prediction for Japan.
