King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is set to hit the screens in a high-octane action entertainer after the phenomenal success of Pathaan. Jawan will mark SRK's Tamil debut as the film is helmed by Atlee, which the actor sees as a opportunity to expand his market down south.

The movie stars many Kollywood actors as the director wanted the movie to appeal to people all over the country. Accordingly, the action thriller was shot across locations in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad.

Shah Rukh Khan About Vijay Sethupathi

The casting of Vijay Sethupathi in Jawan happened at the wedding of Nayanthara, the film's female lead, in Chennai. An year ago, Shah Rukh Khan attended the wedding at Mahabalipuram.

At the same time, Shah Rukh Khan was introduced to Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi. The Bollywood Badshah expressed his desire to work with him, and Atlee immediately brought Sethupathi on board.

Vijay Sethupathi played the role of an antagonist in Jawan. In the recent ASK SRK session, when a fan asked him about his 'Jawan's villain,' SRK wrote, "@VijaySethuOffl

Jawan Cast

The Shah Rukh Khan's action film also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, Riddhi Dogra, Astha Agarwal, Kenny Basumatary, Girija Oak, and Ganesh Gurung among others in key roles.

In addition, there are superstars like Deepika Padukone, Vijay, and Sanjay Dutt making special cameos in Jawan.

Jawan Release Date

Jawan will release in five languages all over the world on September 7, 2023. The movie is set to release on the festival of Janmashtami.

Jawan was written and directed by Atlee. Gauri Khan is producing the movie under the Red Chilies Entertainment banner. Anirudh Ravichander is making his grand Bollywood debut with Jawan.
