Jayam Ravi is one of the most famous actors in Tamil cinema. Jayam Ravi, who recently acted in Maniratnam's Magnum Opus Ponniyin Selvan, has next acted in films including Agilan and Iraivan.

Screen Scene is producing three films starring Jayam Ravi, the first of which is Agilan. Jayam Ravi starrer Boologam was directed by N Kalyana Krishnan. The director joins hands again with Jayam Ravi in Agilan. Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran are the female leads.

A few months ago, the first look and teaser of the film was released and gained attention. The film will hit theaters worldwide on March 10, 2023.

Most of the scenes of the film centered on the port were shot in Thoothukudi and some important scenes in Kasimedu, Chennai.
