Jigarthanda DoubleX is the latest period action comedy film written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The movie's recently released trailer was mind-blowing and it amplified expectations for this film manifold. It is going to hit the screens in Tamil and Telugu on November 10, for the Diwali festival. The news of Jigarthanda DoubleX USA premieres getting cancelled disappointed the fans of Kollywood cinema living abroad.

Jigarthanda DoubleX is a spiritual successor to the Jigarthanda movie that was released in 2014, starring Siddharth and others. The latest features SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence in exciting characters.

Jigarthanda DoubleX Premise

The movie is set in Madurai, in 1975. A gangster named Pandian, who looks very intimidating, aspires to become the first dark-skinned hero in the Tamil film industry and he eventually hires an aspiring director Ray Dasan, who was a former assistant director to Satyajit Ray. They together begin a movie titled Pandyaa. As the film progresses, Pandiyan's rivals try to attack him, causing a mayhem.

Jigarthanda DoubleX Cast

The movie stars Raghava Lawrence as Pandiyan, a gangster, and SJ Suryah as Ray Dasan, a budding film director. The movie also features Nimisha Sajayan, Shine Tom Chacko, Naveen Chandra, Sathyan, Aravind Akash, Ilavarasu, and Bava Chelladurai among others playing important characters.

The period action drama was written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, S Kathiresan, and Alankar Pandian bankrolled the movie under the Stone Bench Films, Invenio Origin, and Five Stare Creations banners.

Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's entire sound and score. S Thirunavukkarasu cranked the camera and Shafique Mohamed Ali worked as the editor.
