As per a report published in Tamil Asianet News, Junior Balaiah died of a sudden asphyxiation. For the uninitiated, Junior Balaiah happens to be the son of legendary actor DS Balayya who made his big Bollywood debut with the 1975 release Melnattu Marumaal. He has been in the industry for over four decades and has been a part of several popular movies.
He was seen in movies like Karagaata Kaaran, Winner, Gopura Vasalile, Sundhara Kaandam, Saattaai, Nerkonda Paarvai, etc. Apart from the big screen, Junior Balaiah was also seen winning hearts with his stint in TV serials including Sidhi, Chinna Papa Periya Papa.
Needless to say, Junior Balaiah's unfortunate demise has come as a shock to his fans and the industry. It is reported that his funeral will reportedly take place tomorrow this evening in Chennai.
Mourning Junior Balaiah's demise, renowned trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote, "Tamil Actor #JuniorBalaiah passed away earlier this morning in Chennai.. He complained shortness of breath.. He was 70.. Son of Yesteryear Legendary Actor #TSBalaiah. He acted in #Karagaatakaaran, #NerKondaaParvai etc. May his soul RIP!"
On the other hand, social media is abuzz with tweet condoling Junior Balaiah's demise. A Twitter user wrote, "Raghu sir has passed away. My deepest condolences to Rohit brother and his family. #RIPJuniorBalaiah #JuniorBalaiah #RaghuSir". Another user wrote, "#juniorbalaiah Sad to pass away I express my deepest condolences to his bereaved family, relatives and on-screen friends". One of the tweets also read as, "The demise of actor Junior Balayya, who followed his father Balayya into the film industry and entertained people, is irreplaceable. I pray that his soul rest in peace."
