In what came as a shocking news this morning, Tamil actor Junior Balaiah passed away at the age of 70. According to media reports, he died of breathing difficulties, a sudden asphyxiation at his residence in Valasaravakkam, Chennai. The media reports also suggested that Junior Balaiah's last rites will take place tomorrow (Friday, November 3) in Chennai.

Ever since the news of Junior Balaiah's demise surfaced, the social media is abuzz with tweets mourning the senior actor's death. Mourning Junior Balaiah's demise, renowned trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote, "Tamil Actor #JuniorBalaiah passed away earlier this morning in Chennai.. He complained shortness of breath.. He was 70.. Who Is Junior Balaiah?

For the uninitiated, Junior Balaiah is one of the most loved actors in Tamil cinema who is known for acing every character, be it a villain, a comedian and even a character role. He is the son of ace actor DS Balaiah. Born with the name of Raghu, the actor changed his name during his debut with Kamal's Melnattu Marumamal, after which he was seen with Sivaji.

It was Priyadarshan's Gopura Vaasilele which gave Junior Balaiah the fame he deserved. Later Junior Balaiah was seen in Gangai Amaran's Karakattakaran which won him a lot of appreciation. Besides he has also worked with superstar Ajith Kumar in Nerkonda Paarvai and won hearts with his stint.
