Kamalini Mukherjee is an Indian actress. She has acted in many Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Bengali and Kannada language films. After graduating in English literature, she completed a theater workshop in Mumbai. She made her film debut in the Hindi film Phir Milenge (2004), an AIDS-themed film. Later in 2004 she also made her first appearance in the Telugu film industry with the movie Anand.

Kamalini was born and brought up in Kolkata, India. Her father is a marine engineer and her mother is a jewelry designer. She is the eldest of three siblings in the family. Due to her passion since childhood, she acted in all kinds of amateur and professional stage plays while studying in school and college.

Incidentally, she always portrayed masculine characters in these plays. Apart from drama, she developed interest in reading, painting and writing. She also had many years of training in Bharatanatyam.

After graduating in English literature from Loreto College, Kolkata, she started studying hotel management in New Delhi, but dropped out to pursue theater studies in Mumbai. Kamalini is a supporter of non-profit organizations CHORD India and World Vision, which are involved in rehabilitation, welfare and education of children.

She produces beauty tutorial videos for Mrinalini's YouTube channel Mirror Mirror along with her two younger sisters Mrinalini and Shohini. In 2014, at a poetry reading event in Hyderabad, the Chinese-American poet Wang Bing published her collection Ten Thousand Waves.

Kamalini was part of a panel of poets at the Bengaluru Poetry Festival in August 2016, where she met award-winning poet Dr. Neil Hall. She read a selection of his poems along with him. She is an avid baker, who cook and enjoys experimenting with cuisines from around the world.
