Kanguva: 'Idhuku Enna Da Meaning?' Ask Feverish Fans; Evoke Laughter On Twitter As Suriya 42 Trends!
Kanguva is the title of Suriya's upcoming film with director Siruthai Siva. The movie makers officially announced the title of Suriya 42 as Kanguva on April 16.
Kanguva is going to be the first pan-India film of actor Suriya, who is now in his best shape professionally as well as personally. The actor received laurels at the National level by winning two awards. His performances in his recent films also won praise and critical acclaim, making him one of the popular south-Indian heroes who rose to nationwide fame.
As the makers announced Kanguva as the title, excited fans couldn't keep calm and started looking for the word's meaning on the internet. While a fan started it off by asking, "Idhukku Ennada Meaning?" all hell broke loose. The tweet garnered so much attention and turned into fun banter.
A user by the name Neoman wrote, "Eagle in Tamil called Kangu so I think they modelised it into kanguva." (sic)
Another fan Vijay Abhishek opined, "#Kanguva meaning "Man with the power of fire" and tagged actor Suriya and director Siva along with it. And there's another fan who said, Kanguva is one of the famous villages in Andhra Pradesh.
One said Kanguva could be an invisible warrior while another by the username Maha opined, "I think the story wills tarts from #Sunguvarchatram that's why it's named as Kanguva." (sic)
A few other fans started comparing the film's title to Rajinikanth's yesteryear film titled 'Gangvaa,' which was directed by Rajasekhar. They made fun of the comparisons and evoked laughter in the comments section of the tweets.
Siruthai Siva is collaborating with Suriya for the first time. After Suriya walked out of Director Bala's project, he announced Suriya 42, which is dubbed as a mighty valiant saga of a warrior belonging to the 1600s. In the movie, Suriya will be seen portraying five different characters. Bollywood actress Disha Patani is playing the film's female lead.
Kanguva will release in ten languages when it hits the screens in early 2024. The film's teaser will be released in May 2023.
