Late Actress Sridevi is a name that requires no introduction in the country. Although she left the earth early, her body of work, her beauty, and her persona are revered as long as the Indian films continue to be there.

Sridevi started working as an actress when she was young, at the tender age of four-five years playing characters of her age, until she turned a full-time female lead actress, leaving an unforgettable mark in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi industries.

Sridevi was born and brought up in Chennai and worked predominantly in the southern film industries before marrying Boney Kapoor and leaving for Mumbai. She was friends with many Tollywood and Kollywood film stars, producers, directors, and actresses of her time, who share a special bond with her.

One actress Kutty Padmini, who is a well-known personality in Kollywood and childhood friend of Sridevi recently spoke to an YouTube channel. During the interview, when she was asked to elaborate on her memories and experiences with Sridevi, she made some shocking revelations about Sridevi and her mother.

She shared, "Sridevi's mother had a habit of consuming alcohol on a daily basis. She even applied the same to her daughter to help her fall asleep. Sridevi worked very hard since she was young and to help her sleep, her mother used to feed her wine. Later on, Sridevi picked up the habit, which affected her life."

Sridevi, who left acting in the films after becoming pregnant and marrying Boney Kapoor in 1996, made a comeback to films, owing to financial needs. Her producer husband Boney Kapoor, who couldn't score a success for a long time encouraged Sridevi to resume acting.

She started her second-innings from 2012 with 'English Vinglish' and then went on to star in other couple of films including 'Mom,' her last film. She flew to Dubai in February 2018 with family to attend destination wedding of her nephew. While the husband and two daughters came back, Sridevi chose to stay back. When Boney Kapoor went to surprise her after two days, Sridevi was found drowned in a bath tub in her hotel room.
