Lokesh
Kanagaraj
has
been
one
of
the
most
successful
filmmakers
in
the
Tamil
film
industry.
He
has
given
box
office
hits
like
Kaithi,
Master,
Vikram
etc.
And
now,
he
is
making
headlines
for
his
recent
release
Leo.
Starring
Thalapathy
Vijay,
Trisha
Krishnan,
Sanjay
Dutt,
Arjun
Sarja,
Gautham
Menon,
Mysskin,
and
Priya
Anand
in
lead,
Leo,
which
has
been
an
action
thriller,
has
been
one
of
the
most
anticipated
releases
of
the
year
and
had
released
in
Tamil,
Telugu,
Kannada
and
Hindi
languages.
Leo
has
witnessed
an
impressive
response
in
advance
booking
for
the
first
day
and
there
have
been
speculations
about
the
first
day
collection
of
the
movie.
To
note,
Leo
has
opened
to
an
average
response
from
the
audience.
In
fact,
fans
have
taken
to
social
media
to
express
disappointment
towards
the
average
storyline
and
climax
along
with
poor
CGI.
Amid
this,
Leo
has
witnessed
a
decent
start
in
Karnataka.
According
to
a
report
published
in
Sacnilk,
Leo
(Kannada)
is
likely
to
mint
Rs
14.50
crores
on
its
first
day
in
Karnataka.
Interestingly,
it
has
failed
to
beat
the
opening
day
collection
of
Yash's
KGF
2
in
Karnataka.
For
the
uninitiated,
KGF
2
had
minted
Rs
26.5
crores
on
the
first
day.
Well,
it
will
be
interesting
to
see
how
Thalapathy
Vijay's
Leo
will
perform
in
the
upcoming
days.
Meanwhile,
as
everyone
was
eagerly
waiting
for
Leo,
there
has
been
a
major
speculation
about
whether
Leo
is
a
part
of
LCU
(Lokesh
Kanagaraj
Universe).
The
rumours
came
to
light
after
DMK
Youth
Wing
Secretary
Udhay
Stalin
shared
the
review
of
the
movie
on
micro-blogging
site
Twitter
(now
X)
and
used
the
hashtag
#LCU.
The
tweet
went
viral
with
fans
curious
to
know
if
Leo
is
a
standalone
film
or
a
part
of
LCU.
Well,
the
wait
is
over
and
big
revelation
has
been
made.
Leo
is
a
part
of
LCU
(Lokesh
Kanagaraj
Universe)
and
it
has
been
announced
in
the
movie.
To
note,
the
first
movie
of
LCU
happened
to
be
Kaithi
which
was
released
in
2019
which
was
followed
by
Kamal
Haasan
starrer
Vikram.
And
now
Leo
is
the
third
entry
in
LCU.
