Thalapathy
Vijay
starrer
Leo
has
been
one
of
the
biggest
releases
of
the
year
and
there
are
no
second
thoughts
about
it.
The
action
thriller
has
been
directed
by
Lokesh
Kanagaraj
and
has
been
among
the
most
anticipated
movies
of
2023.
Also
starring
Trisha
Krishnan
and
Sanjay
Dutt
in
the
lead,
Leo
was
released
in
Tamil,
Telugu,
Kannada
and
Hindi.
Interestingly,
Leo
has
witnessed
a
box
office
clash
with
Kannada
heist
drama
Ghost
which
features
Shiva
Rajkumar
in
the
lead.
And
while
both
the
movies
have
managed
to
create
a
substantial
buzz,
there
has
been
a
massive
speculations
about
the
collection
of
the
movies.
According
to
Sacnilk,
Leo
has
failed
to
beat
Ghosht
on
the
first
day
of
release.
Reportedly,
Leo,
which
had
a
dhamakedar
start
at
the
box
office
overall
with
a
collection
of
Rs
64.8
crores,
managed
to
mint
just
Rs
14
lakhs
in
Kannada
on
the
first
day.
On
the
other
hand,
Ghost
witnessed
a
decent
start
and
had
earned
Rs
1.14
crores
at
the
box
office.
It
is
evident
that
Ghost
had
managed
to
beat
Leo
with
a
massive
gap.
it
will
be
interesting
to
see
how
Leo
will
be
performing
at
the
box
office
in
the
coming
days.
Meanwhile,
as
everyone
was
eagerly
waiting
for
Leo,
there
has
been
a
major
speculation
about
whether
Leo
is
a
part
of
LCU
(Lokesh
Kanagaraj
Universe).
The
rumours
came
to
light
after
DMK
Youth
Wing
Secretary
Udhay
Stalin
shared
the
review
of
the
movie
on
micro-blogging
site
Twitter
(now
X)
and
used
the
hashtag
#LCU.
The
tweet
went
viral
with
fans
curious
to
know
if
Leo
is
a
standalone
film
or
a
part
of
LCU.
Well,
the
wait
is
over
and
big
revelation
has
been
made.
Leo
is
a
part
of
LCU
(Lokesh
Kanagaraj
Universe)
and
it
has
been
announced
in
the
movie.
To
note,
the
first
movie
of
LCU
happened
to
be
Kaithi
which
was
released
in
2019
which
was
followed
by
Kamal
Haasan
starrer
Vikram.
And
now
Leo
is
the
third
entry
in
LCU.
