Leo Box Office Collection Day 2: Thalapathy Vijay's film has become the talk of the town ever since the movie released in the theatres. While Vijay fans are loving the action thriller, a certain section of the audience has expressed their displeasure over the flick. Netizens and critics have given mixed reviews to the film, which has been directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Despite the criticism, Leo has gained momentum at the box office.

According to the statement released by the film's production house, Leo is the highest day 1 worldwide grosser of the year, when it comes to an Indian film. It earned Rs 148.5 crore on the first day including India and overseas.

According to Sacnilk.com, Leo has managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club in India within two days of release. The website stated that film performed decent on the first and second day respectively. Leo earned Rs 64.80 crore net in India on day one. It collected Rs 36 crore for all the languages, according to early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com.

According to early estimates, Leo earned Rs 24 crore gross in Tamil Nadu. The website mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana market received a decent response as the film earned Rs 6 crore in the state.

DID LEO CRASH AT BOX OFFICE ON DAY 2?

Prominent journalist Manobala Vijayabalan claimed the film crashed at the box office and failed to generate a decent buzz in the theatres. His tweet set several tongues wagging as several reports suggested that Leo is raking in good moolah at the cinema windows.

His tweet read, "#Leo CRASHES badly on day 2. The only way for Joseph Vijay and his team to change #LeoDisaster tag is by running the film on Twitter not in theatres. At least if Joseph and team put 20% efforts on actual content of movie instead of making up numbers, it would have attained hit instead of FLOP. Such is the LCU scam forced to get advance booking. But audience are clever and rejecting this thrash film after negative wom (sic)."

In a separate tweet, he wrote, "Posters of #Leo BEATING #Adipurush, #2Point0 and #Jawan opening day collection is the biggest box office scam of 2023. #LeoFilm footfalls, occupancy, screens, is way too less than others stated above. Numbers of Leo are far from reality."
