Leo Box Office Collection Day 21: Thalapathy Vijay’s Film Struggles To Earn 1Cr Ahead Of Diwali

Diwali is around the corner and while all eyes have been at the Indian box office, the recent big release seems to have begun struggling ahead of the big festival. We are talking about Thalapathy Leo starrer Leo which has been one of the biggest releases of the year. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo had hit the screens on October 19 and had released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Interestingly, Leo has witnessed an impressive run at the box office since the first day.

In fact, it has managed to create new records at the box office in its journey so far and Leo did manage to roar loud. But looks like this action thriller is losing its grip ahead of Diwali. Yes! Leo is now slowing down before completing a month of release. And as per the recent update, it is struggling to make Rs 1 crores in a day.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Leo will be making Rs 74 lakhs today (day 21/third Wednesday) which will take the overall collection of the movie to Rs 332.79 crores. To note, Leo has once again failed to beat Rajinikanth's Jailer which had minted Rs 2.95 crores on its 21st day of release.

On the other hand, Leo has been thriving at the worldwide box office as well. After all, it has managed to cross Rs 500 crores mark within six days of release. Reportedly, the movie has earned Rs 506.4 crores in six days worldwide and has emerged as the fastest Tamil film to achieve the milestone. In fact, it is expected to cross Rs 600 crores mark at the worldwide box office in the coming days. Earlier, talking about this much anticipated Thalapthy Vijay starrer action thriller, Lokesh Kanagraj said, "Leo is a very special film for me. I have tried something experimental. I have no words to describe the amount of work that Vijay Anna put in for this movie. And I am eager to show everything to the audience".
