Leo Box Office Collection Day 4: Vijay’s Film Beats Gadar 2 During Opening Weekend As It Inches Close To 200Cr

Thalapathy Vijay's recent release Leo has been one of the most talked about movies of the year. The movie made the headlines ever since it was announced. After all, it made Vijay's second collaboration with ace filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj after Master and also featured Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt in the lead.

After creating immense buzz in the town, Leo has managed to witness a phenomenal start at the box office. And while Leo has been garnering average reviews from the audience, it has manage to have a strong hold at the box office and has cross Rs 150 crores in four days and it inching fast towards Rs 200 crores mark.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Leo will be minting Rs 40 crores today (day 4/first Sunday). If the reports are to be believed, it has taken the overall collection of the movie to Rs 179.71 crores. While Leo is inching towards Rs 200 crores, it has managed to beat Gadar 2. For the uninitiated, Gadar 2 had minted Rs 38.7 crores at the box office on its day 3 of release. In fact, while Gadar 2 made a collection of Rs 134.88 crores in the opening weekend, Leo made a collection of Rs 179.71 crores in the opening weekend

It will be interesting to see if Leo will manage to create new records in the coming days despite the average reviews.

Meanwhile, talking about this much anticipated Thalapthy Vijay starrer action thriller, Lokesh Kanagraj said, "Leo is a very special film for me. I have tried something experimental. I have no words to describe the amount of work that Vijay anna put in for this movie. And I am eager to show everything to the audience". To note, Leo has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
