Leo Box Office Collection Day 7 Prediction: Vijay’s Film To See Over 50% Drop After A Week; To Cross 260Cr

Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan make for one of the most popular onscreen jodis who have worked together in movies like Aathi, Thirupaachi, Ghilli etc. And now, this onscreen duo is making the headlines once again and this time for their recent release Leo. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo also features Sanjay Dutt in the role of the lead antagonist and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year

Touted to be an action thriller, Leo has been high on VFX and action quotient along with an interesting face off between Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt which has got the fans excited. Interestingly, despite creating substantial buzz in the town, Leo failed to impress the audience and opened to average reviews. However, the average reviews didn't affect the box office performance of Leo.

As this Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial has completed a week of release, it has managed to cross Rs 260 crores mark at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Leo will be witnessing a drop of over 53% in the collections on day 7 (first Wednesday). Reportedly, Leo will be minting Rs 13 crores today which will take the overall collection of the movie to Rs 262.55 crores.

Meanwhile, Leo has already created history by becoming the fastest movie to cross Rs 100 crores in Tamil Nadu. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club in TN within just 3 days of release. Interestingly, Leo has managed to beat Ponniyin Selvan 1 which earlier held the record of crossing Rs 100 crores in 5 days of release.

Earlier, talking about this much anticipated Thalapthy Vijay starrer action thriller, Lokesh Kanagraj said, "Leo is a very special film for me. I have tried something experimental. I have no words to describe the amount of work that Vijay anna put in for this movie. And I am eager to show everything to the audience".
