Leo OTT Release: Thalapathy Vijay’s Action Thriller Release Gets Preponed; To Premiere On THIS Date

Thalapathy Vijay's recently released movie Leo has been all over the headlines ever since it was announced. The action thriller, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has come with an interesting ensemble of cast including Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, etc. In fact, Leo has been the third entry in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Interestingly, Leo has been roaring loud at the box office since the first day. After an impressive start of Rs 64.8 crores, Leo has managed to cross Rs 330 crores in three weeks and is now inching towards crossing Rs 600 crores mark at the worldwide box office. Given the phenomenal success of Leo, fans have been eagerly waiting for the OTT release of this Thalapathy Vijay starrer.

Leo OTT Release Date Revealed

To note, there were reports about Leo premiering on Netflix on November 21. The media reports suggested that the makers will be following the four week policy for the OTT release of Leo wherein a movie is released on digital media after four weeks of its theatrical release. However, looks like the makers have changed the plan now for Leo. As per a report published in India.Com, Leo is likely to release on OTT on November 16. To note, an official announcement about the new OTT release date for Leo is yet to be made.

Meanwhile, if the reports turned out to be true, it will come as a surprise move as there are chances about a boom in Leo collections during Diwali.

As of now, Leo has been thriving at the worldwide box office as well. After all, it has managed to cross Rs 500 crores mark within six days of release. Reportedly, the movie has earned Rs 506.4 crores in six days worldwide and has emerged as the fastest Tamil film to achieve the milestone. Earlier, talking about this much anticipated Thalapthy Vijay starrer action thriller, Lokesh Kanagraj said, "Leo is a very special film for me. I have tried something experimental. I have no words to describe the amount of work that Vijay Anna put in for this movie. And I am eager to show everything to the audience".
