Lokesh Kanagaraj Reveals Secret About His Smoking Habit: Lokesh Kanagaraj has revealed that he learned smoking after watching Gautham Vasudev Menon's Kaakha Kaakha movie. He also told that he taught smoking to Gautham at the sets of Leo.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, who was working in a bank, directed a short film called Kalam due to his passion for cinema. Because of the confidence it gave him, he quit his job and entered cinema. So he directed Maanagaram as his first film. The film was not a mega hit but received a decent response.

After the success of Maanagaram, Lokesh Kanagaraj directed the film Kaithi with Karthi. The fact that he first wrote the story to Mansoor Ali Khan shows how much faith he had in his story. The film became a mega hit. Then, Lokesh teamed up with Vijay in Master and reaped the success of the film by showing Vijay in a way that no one had seen before.

Apart from that, he had shown the difference in the making of the hero as there was no flashback and the hero's name was not mentioned in detail. It is noteworthy that he followed the same style in the film Maanagaram.

Kamal's ardent fan Lokesh Kanagaraj himself has revealed it on many platforms. In Vikram Making, Lokesh created and expanded his cinematic universe. The film went on to become a mega block buster collecting Rs 500 crores.

He is currently directing Leo with Vijay again. The movie stars Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan. While the shooting of the film's final phase is going on briskly, it has come to light that Gautham Vasudev Menon was taught by Lokesh Kanagaraj to smoke.

Lokesh Learnt Smoking From GVM Film?

Gautham Menon, who is acting in the movie Leo, has scenes of smoking cigarettes. But Gautham Menon does not know how to smoke a cigarette. He once told this to Lokesh at the shooting spot. Immediately Lokesh taugh Gautham Menon to smoke. Gautham asked how he can smoke so perfectly.

To which Lokesh Kanagaraj said that he learned everything by watching his films like Kaakha Kaakha. Similarly, during Covid all important senior directors including Gautham Menon have started a WhatsApp group. Only Lokesh and Karthik Subbaraj have been in that group from the current generation.

Since then Lokesh developed a good understanding with GVM which helped a lot in Leo shooting. Lokesh Kanagaraj shared this information in an interview to a leading media portal.
