Maamannan Faces Threat: All India Forward Block Party has threatened to attack the theatre if Udhayanidhi Stalin's film Maamannan is screened. This information has creted a stir in Tamil Nadu.

Mari Selvaraj, who directed Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, has now directed Maamannan with Udhayanidhi Stalin. Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, Lal and others have acted with him. The film is slated to release worldwide on 29th June (tomorrow). As this is Udhayanidhi's last film, his fans have high expectations.

Mari Selvaraj Started The Problem

While the promotions for Mamannan was going smooth, the speech of Mari Selvaraj about Thevar Magan infront of Kamal Haasan at the audio launch of the film and the letter he wrote about Thevar Magan 13 years ago ignited issues.

Speaking at the event, Mari Selvaraj said, "Theva Magan was a film that made a big change for me. Everything that was happening was blood and flesh. How can I understand this? It's a pain that I can't understand whether this film is right or wrong. Isaki in Thevar Magan is the origin of Maamannan."

His speech caused a lot of discussion on social media. Many said "Mari Selvaraj never understood Thevar Magan. The film only talked about the problem between two families and not about the problem between two castes." Most importantly, they said that the character of Isaki in the film does not belong to the oppressed.

All India Forward Block Party Threatens Maamannan Theatre

Mari Selvaraj noticed that the problem getting big and agreed that he spoke very emotionally on that stage. He said, "Only Kamal Haasan and I know what the truth is. I don't care what others thought."

But now a new problem arises. The All India Forward Block Party has openly threatened to attack Theni Vetri Theater if they screen the movie Mamannan. The party has also submitted a petition to the theater owner in this regard. This has caused a stir.

Mari Selvaraj's speech can be condemned and protested. People are raising their voices against the political party as it is not acceptable to threaten or attack anybody.
