Maaveeran Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Sivakarthikeyan's Fantasy Family Entertainer Works Big At BO

Maaveeran

Maaveeran Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran is said to have collected 9 crores approximately on its first day in India. The film is expected to collect more than 10 crores on its second day being a saturday with positive reviews pouring in.

Maaveeran One Line

If the life of a person who tolerates everything and lives in harmony can be changed by the 'mysterious voice' heard from somewhere and make him to voice our for the problems of people, that is 'Maveeran' one line.

Cartoonist Sathya (Sivakarthikeyan) lives in a slum with his mother and younger sister. Suddenly, one day, an announcement comes from the government asking the people of the area to leave. Also, they are shifting the people to an apartment, saying that they will provide them with an alternative place. Sathya, who has a timid temperament, compromises by saying 'adjust and live' to her mother who complains about the poor condition of the apartment.

As an extension of this, even when his family suffers a loss, he tries to commit suicide as he is unable to cope with it. Then the voice of the cartoon character he drew comes to help him. The story of the film is about how that voice transforms the cowardly Sathya into a 'Maaveeran' (Hero).

Socially Responsible Director

Director Madon Ashwin has tried to make it interesting by taking the plight of the government in throwing the slum dwellers away from their own habitats to distant suburbs in the name of urban expansion and development. Like the film 'Mandela', his social responsibility is noticeable in this film. The early screenplay, written to turn the concept he took into a fantasy action drama, is entertaining.

The most important reason for that is the gradual transformation of Sivakarthikeyan's character and Vijay Sethupathi's voice over. Also, Yogibabu's timing of comedies is a strength that lends a helping hand at many places. Yogi Babu's portrayal of the livelihood of Tamil Nadu workers being affected by northern workers is a politics that needs to be addressed. Besides, the scenes where the commoner Sivakarthikeyan confronts the minister Mysskin with his innocence are entertaining.
