Maaveeran OTT Release Update: Information about Sivakarthikean's Maaveen digital streaming partner is out now. The OTT rights for the SK film is said to be bagged by Amazon Prime.

Maaveeran, the much awaited film released yesterday (July 14, 2023). Directed by Madonne Ashwin, the film released in Tamil and Telugu languages has got a good opening on the first day.

Aditi Shankar acted opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Maaveeran. Aditi made her film debut opposite Karthi in last year's film Virumaan. Being the daughter of director Shankar was a big advantage for her. Aditi Shankar, who played the village heroine in the first film, was well received by the fans. Not only as an actress, she also attracted attention as a singer.

Yogi Babu's character in the film Maaveeran has also achieved good reach. He played the role of a laborer from Tamil Nadu who is victimized by the arrival of North Indian labourers. Similarly, director Mysskin has also gave an amazing performace in the character of Minister Jayakodi.

Crux Of The Story

Cartoonist Sathya lives in a slum with his mother and younger sister. Suddenly, one day, an announcement comes from the government asking the people of the area to leave. Also, they are shifting the people to an apartment, saying that they will provide them with an alternative place. Sathya, who has a timid temperament, compromises by saying 'adjust and live' to her mother who complains about the poor condition of the apartment.

As an extension of this, even when his family suffers a loss, he tries to commit suicide as he is unable to cope with it. Then the voice of the cartoon character he drew comes to help him. The story of the film is about how that voice transforms the cowardly Sathya into a 'Maaveeran' (Hero).
