Mari Selvaraj's Explanation
In a recent interview to a leading media portal, Mari Selvaraj said, "I have been struggling in cinema for 15 years. So some people will come hoping that I will be there. One or two things like that will happen. When I come, there is no one for me. It is not necessary for everyone to suffer like I have suffered.
Pa Ranjit has created a big space for me. I don't know if I would have made such strong films without him. No one can win here without the help of fellow human beings. I don't know what I would have become if Ram sir was not there. All those who work with me know that I don't give opportunities based on caste. Everyone comes from different backgrounds," he said.
