According to media reports, Meera had died by suicide. The media reports also suggested that Meera was battling stress which is said to be the main reason behind her drastic step.

As the social media is abuzz with tweets and posts mourning Meera's unfortunate demise, fans have also been extending support to the Ratham actor and his family during this difficult phase. And now, Meera Antony is making the headlines again as an old video from her school days is going viral on social media.

The video was shared by Vijay Antony's wife Fatima and was shot during a school function. In the video, Meera was seen dressed in a white uniform and was wearing a sash. As per the video, Meera was seen taking a pledge as a secretary of a particular department in the school. It was evident that Meera was quite active with the extracurricular activities. Sharing the video, Fatima wrote, "Thank you lord for all these Blessing, we r unworthy, ur love is great. congrats Meera Vijay Antony" followed by heart and hugs emoticons.

Meanwhile, as Meera's death case is being investigated by the cops, it is reported that they are questioning Meera's teachers and friends to know the exact cause behind her drastic step. Besides, Meera's mobile phone is also being examined.

On the other hand, actor Gautham Karthik had also penned a heartfelt note for Meera on the micro-blogging site Twitter (now X) and wrote, "My deepest condolences to brother @vijayantony and his family... Truly shocking to hear this... I pray that God gives your family strength during this time. I'm so sorry for you loss. May she rest in peace... #RIP".
