National Film Awards 2023 Tamil Winners Complete List: Kadaisi Vivasayi Walks Away With Best Film Award

The prestigious 69th National Film Awards for the year 2021 are announced on August 24 in Delhi. The year's jury surprised the Tamil film industry with its selection. Kadaisi Vivasayi won the Best Picture Award pushing behind Suriya's Jai Bhim, Sarpatta Prambarai, and etc.

were announced for feature film and non-feature film categories along with writing for the films. In 31 categories in feature films, 34 categories in non-feature films, and 3 categories in writing on cinema. The awards are being given away for the year 2021.

According to the selections made by the central jury, the winners were picked from 280 entries in 28 languages under feature films, 158 entries in 23 languages for non-feature films. About 22 books and 11 film critics are in competition for writing on cinema category.

The Kollywood industry, which won several laurels during the previous year's National Film Awards is left a bit disappointed in the latest result.

The people expected Dhanush-starrer Karnan, Arya-starrer Sarpatta Parambarai, and Suriya's Jai Bheem to bag several awards for the industry. However, they are surprised and happy for the team of Kadaisi Vivasayi for getting due recognition.
