Ponniyin Selvan 2 Audio Launch: Mani Ratnam's Magnum Opus Film With AR Rahman's Music & Score To Release On..

Ponniyin Selvan 2, the much-awaited sequel of Mani Ratnam's dream project, Ponniyin Selvan 1, is gearing up for a huge theatrical release all over the world. The movie, which was produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies together, is the number one highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu. The movie surpassed Kamal Haasan's Vikram collections and the story of Cholas impressed the people of the state big time. The sequel will hit the screens on April 28.

After the tremendous success of Ponniyin Selvan 1, which was also released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, the sequel is now ready to hit the screens. During the release of PS 1, the makers announced that the sequel will hit the screens in the early summer of 2023. Accordingly, the promotional activity of the Rs 500 Crore budgeted movie kick-started. Makers have been releasing audio of the movie to keep the movie-goers and fans of the movie and its actors in the loop.

As part of it, the movie's important cast has been sharing their transformation videos on social media handles. Also, a beautiful melody, which is touted to be a duet between Kundavai (played by Trisha) and Vandiyadevan (played by Karthi) titled 'Aganaga,' was released to a thumping response on YouTube.

But, the big news has come out. The audio release event of the Ponniyin Selvan 2 is finally going to happen and none other than AR Rahman himself put out a tweet giving us a peek into what went behind the composition of the score and tunes for Ponniyin Selvan 2.

The audio release event is going to be held on March 29 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. All the important cast- Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Jayaram, Shobita, Prakash Raj, and Parthiban among others are likely to take part in the event.
