Actors Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobitha, Parthiban, Sarathkumar, Prakashraj and others are playing the lead characters in the film. While the first part of this film was released in September last year and impressed the fans, the second part which has been released now is also doing well at the box office.

Mani Ratnam has done every thing very carefully in this film. He completed the shooting of both parts of his dream project in just 155 days. Famous director Rajamouli also praised how this is possible. Mani Ratnam had integrated so many characters and linked them properly.

The film crew did a lot of promotions for this film. They also conducted a promotional tour in cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Kochi, Bengaluru and impressed the fans. The tour gave a great promotion to the film as they received great reception in all the places they visited. Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman and others also participated in this tour.
