The highly-anticipated and much-awaited sequel of the magnum opus made by director Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan 2, finally hit the screens all over the world.

The sequel for Ponniyin Selvan 1 was eagerly looked forward to, given the star-studded cast, larger-than-life sets, heart-stealing costumes, jewelry, and the makeover of the actors and actresses in the film. Needless to say, Mani Ratnam, the master director transported the viewers back into the days of the Chola dynasty with his impeccable vision and passion.

As Ponniyin Selvan's sequel opened across theatres all over the world in as many as five languages, the response has been overwhelming. In addition to the hype, the movie is receiving raving reviews. Especially, fans who have watched the movie are happy with the sequel and think it is a befitting closure to the grand literary work by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
