Ponniyin Selvan 2 First Review: Angry Fans Lambast Negative Feedback

One of the highly anticipated movies in Kollywood is the second instalment of the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. As the film's release is around the corner, the buzz around the movie has been pretty strong. Now, the first review of historical fiction has come out. According to the first review, the movie will not meet the expectation of the fans. It was shared by Umair Sandhu, a Member of Overseas Censor Board.

Taking to his Twitter space, Umair wrote, "#PonniyinSelvan2 will be Sure Shot Disaster! #PS2!" While it is still not known if the movie has premiered yet, his review did not go well with the fans. As soon as he posted the review, fans took to the comments section and expressed how disappointed they are in hearing the review.

A fan wrote, "Let them worry about that. Don't you have much more important rumours to tweet about? Just saw your other tweets. Attention seeker." Another fan replied to his Tweet saying, "Didn't you not say the same for #PS1? No wonder your sources say the same for #PS2." One fan tagged the movie's production label Lyca Pictures and urged them to take action against Umair.

In case you didn't know, the second part of Ponniyin Selvan is set to hit the theatres on April 28 amidst huge expectations. The first part released on September 30 was a blockbuster and it went on to break several records. Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan is based on the Tamil novel of the same name.

The multi-starrer magnum opus features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, and Karthi in the lead roles. Other actors including Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu, and Ashwin Kakumanu among others have played important roles in the two-part drama.
