Raghuvaran's 15 Death Anniversary: "He Would've Loved This Phase Of Cinema," Says Ex-Wife-Actress Rohini Molle

Veteran late actor Raghuvaran, who died 15 years ago on March 19, was fondly remembered by his ex-wife, actress Rohini Molleti. The veteran actor, who was quite popular for playing the antagonist's role died abruptly at the young age of 49. He died due to complications from excessive alcohol consumption. He and Rohini have a son named Rishi Varan, who was born in 2000.

On the occasion of the veteran actor's 15th death anniversary, Rohini Molleti took to her social media handles to remember him. On Twitter, Rohini shared an old and cute picture of the actor. She captioned it, "March 19th, 2008 started as a normal day but changed everything for me and Rishi. Raghu would have loved this phase of cinema so much and he'd have been happier as an actor too✨" (sic)

Born as Raghuvaran Velayutham on December 11, 1958, in Kollengode aspired to become an actor ever since his college days. He was born into a Hotelier family and also learned Piano from Trinity College, London. He discontinued graduation and pursued acting. He was part of a Chennai-based drama troupe along with Nassar. He was at the prime of his career from 1982 until his death.

Raghuvaran also acted as a lead actor in several successful films. His popularity grew with each film he was part of. Raghuvaran earned critical acclaim and recognition at a national level after appearing in Ram Gopal Varma's 'Shiva.' He acted in hundreds of films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Meanwhile, Rohini, who is an active actress in Telugu and Tamil movies is also an avid social worker. She married Raghuvaran in 1996 and later got separated from him. They were legally divorced in 2006.
