Rajinikanth Gets Emotional For Doing THIS To Mayilsamy: Says 'I Thought Of Apologizing.. But Couldn't..'

Supersatr Rajinikanth has said that he wanted to apologize to late actor Mayilsamy, but it did not happen.

Actor Mailasamy is famous for playing comedy and character roles in numerous Tamil films. The 57-year-old actor died of a heart attack yesterday. Mayilsamy, who lived in Saligramam, Chennai, had gone to the Meghnadeswarar temple in Kelambakkam on the eve of Maha Shivaratri. After returning home early in the morning, he had a heart attack.

Mayilasamy was immediately taken to a private hospital in Porur, Chennai. Unfortunately, he died at the hospital. His death shocked Tamil cinema fans. While many people including political celebrities have expressed their condolences on social media, many celebrities from the film industry have also visited in person and paid tearful tributes.

There is no one who doesn't know Mayilsamy who has acted in the films of leading heroes in Tamil cinema like Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Dhanush. On hearing the news of his death, actor Rajinikanth hurriedly returned to Chennai from Bengaluru. Rajini visited Mayilasamy's residence this morning and condoled with his family.

Later, Rajinikanth, who met the media, said, "Mayilsamy is my long-time friend. I knew him when he was 23, 24 years old. He came to cinema from a mimicry artiste. He is a huge fan of both. One is MGR. Another is Shiva. We both meet often. Then I would just ask how the cinema is. Mayilaamy never talks to me about cinema. He only talks about Shiva and temples.

Similarly, he would go there for every Thiruvannamalai Karthikai Deepam. Be there and be happy to see the crowd and call me. He will be as excited as a crowd coming to his first film. He called me for the last Karthikai Deepam. I didn't answer the phone because I was shooting. Then he called three times. I thought of apologizing the next time I meet him. I just forgot about it. He has disappeared now.

The death of two comedians, Vivek and Mayilsamy, is a loss to the film industry and society. Mayilsamy died on Shivaratri, and Shiva called the ardent devotee. This is no accident. His(Shiva's) act."
