Multitalented Kollywood star Raghava Lawrence, who is also a notable philanthropist, hit the silver screen after a very long time with the movie titled Rudhran. The action thriller was released on April 14 in Tamil Nadu and a few other parts of the world. A Telugu version was also released on the same day.

Produced and directed (debut) by S Kathiresan under his Five Star Creations LLP banner, Rudhran met with a mixed response at the box office. However, Raghava Lawrence managed to steal the entire show as usual in Rudhran with his energetic and emotional performance.

Coming to the film's story, Rudhran is an IT Professional and a happy-go-lucky guy living with his parents in Chennai. He falls in love with Ananya (Priya Bhavani Shankar). His father dies due to a money fraud and Rudhran leaves for London to settle scores. He then gets to know of his mother's death and girlfriend's disappearance. He returns to Chennai and discovers a shocking syndicate network.
