Sarath Babu Death News: The Kollywood industry witnessed a massive jolt this evening after the news of renowned actor Sarath Babu surfaced online. It was reported that the ace actor passed away in Hyderabad while undergoing a medical treatment. While his massive fan following was heartbroken with the news, it turned out to be mere rumours.

Sarath Babu Dead Or Alive?

Sarath Babu's sister cleared the air about his death reports and stated that the actor is alive and recovering. "All the news about Sarath Babu on social media are coming wrong. Sarath Babu has recovered a bit and the room has been shifted. I hope that Sarath Babu will recover completely soon and talk to the media. My request is don't believe any news on social media," the actor's sister said in a statement.

Sarath Babu Hospitalised

For the uninitiated, Sarath Babu was rushed to the hospital last week in Hyderabad. His condition was said to be critical and he was reportedly put on a ventilator. The media reports suggested that the 71 year old actor was battling multiple organ damage.

To note, this happens to be the second time Sarath Babu was hospitalised this year. He was earlier hospitalised in Chennai.

Talking about the work front, Sarath Babu has made a mark in the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries with his stupendous work. He made his debut with the 1973 release Rama Rajyam and has worked in over 200 movies so far. In fact, Sarath Babu has also won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor thrice for Seethakoka Chilaka, O Bharya Katha and Neerajanam respectively.

Sarath Babu has been a part of movies like Kannevayasu, Thirumulla Bandham, Seethakoka Chiluka, Samsaram Ok Chadarangam, Annayya, Apadbhandavudu, etc. He was last seen in Bobby Simha starrer Vasantha Mullai which was a psychological action thriller and hit the screens early this year.
