Rumours About Sarath Babu Death: Popular actor Sarath Babu is undergoing treatment in Hyderabad's AIG Hospital. Rumours about his death are not true. It is shocking to know that these rumours made actor Kamal Haasan to share a condolence tweet.

Hospitalized For More Than A Month

According to media reports, Sarath Babu was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad last month due to ill health. The doctors said that Sarath Babu's liver, kidney and lungs were affected.

Who Is Sarath Babu?

Born as Sathyam Babu Dixithulu in Amadalavalasa of Andhra Pradesh, Sarath Babu (stage name) entered the film Telugu film industry in 1973 as an actor and went on to work for over 200 films in a career spanning 40 years. He is known for his roles in movies like Maro Charithra, Idi Katha Kadu and others. Sarath Babu also shared the screen with Kamal Haasan and Chiranjeevi in K Balachander's directorial Idi Katha Kadu which was a blockbuster then.

He acted as a hero in several films and later played supporting roles in the films for decades. He was last seen in Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab as a senior advocate. His character in Tamil films with Superstar Rajinikanth such as Mullum Malarum, Velaikaran, Muthu and Annamalai impressed fans at a great level.

Soon after the death rumours surfaced, the social media was abuzz with condolence message for Sarath Babu. In fact, Kamal Haasan also ended up sharing a condolence not on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

In the tweet, Kamal Haasan wrote, "My dear elder brother Sarath Babu is my friend, good human, well-wisher. Many films and many stories. Films will live with you and our stories will live with us forever.. his memories too. Your Kamal Haasan". However, he deleted the tweet later.

Netizens Slam Kamal Haasan

Netizens managed to capture a screenshot of this deleted tweet and slams Kamal Haasan for sharing fake news without confirming. One of them said that being a well-known celebrity and a role model for many youngsters, sharing such false information on an official social media account is not at all acceptable.

Another netizen says that anybody can give free advise to contestants in reality shows like Kamal Haasan. But only true legends like Superstar Rajinikanth can teach discipline to fans through their own life.
