Moscow International Film Festival is about to take place in Russia from 20th to 27th April. In it Vijay Sethupathi starrer Maamanithan is going to be screened. The film was directed by Seenu Ramaswamy.

Appreciation ceremony for this prestigious selection of the film was held in Russian Culture Center in Alwarpet, Chennai. Director Seenu Ramasamy, actor Vijay Sethupathi, minister Saminathan, actor Rajesh, Puchi Murugan and officials of Indo-Russia Center participated in this program.

Speaking on the occasion, director Seenu Ramasamy said, "Actor Rajesh is my mentor.
As Veerapandiya Kattabomman film went to Russia, Maamanithan film is going to Russia. Maxim Gorky's novel 'Thai' is a South West Monsoon movie. I create films inspired by Russian literature.

The objectives for which I came to cinema are being fulfilled now. It is a matter of great pride that Maamanithan is going to be screened in the historically proud Russia.. I am not going to Russia. Western Ghats is going. My country chicken, humanity and culture are going there.

We should be careful while speaking in public. Social media itself is a big concern. I couldn't speak whatever was on my mind. Couldn't appreciate anyone.

Maamanithan movie finished its run with 20 percent audience in theaters. They said that you have made eight films and all the people will watch one film on TV. Even if you have eight children, don't you look after a child that is alive? But this one kid is currently running in the World Olympics.

Vijay Sethupathi's performance should be known all over the world. The movie Maamanithan has been screened 650 times all over the world till now. Maamanithan has collected 51 crores through Aha OTT. A film that could not succeed in general media has succeeded in OTT. There is no chance of pairing up with Vijay Sethupathi anymore. I have directed four films with Vijay Sethupathi in a span of 12 years. Even if I die, these pictures will speak."
