ON Rathnam's Wife Suicide: According to confirmed reports, serial director ON Ratnam's wife Priya committed suicide in Chennai today. It is said that Rathnam and Priya have been married for about ten years and the couple has two sons.

ON Rathnam directed many hit serials like Azhagu, Vani Rani, Sevvanthi, Priyamana Thozhi, Pandavar Illam. His hometown is Pollachi and his wife is also from the same place of Tamil Nadu. They both fell in love with each other and got married.

When Did Priya Committed Suicide ?

In this situation, they have sent both the children to their grandfather's house in Pollachi as it is now school vacation. ON Rathnam and his wife were there in their Chennai house and it seems that there was a small argument between the husband and wife last night.

ON Ratnam's sons returned to Chennai from Pollachi early this morning. Rathnam went to the bus stand to pick up the boys when Priya committed suicide at home. Priya's body has then been taken to Royapet Government Hospital.

Friends Couldn't Accept Priya's Death

While speaking to some of ON Rathnam's circle of friends, "When both of them were in love, there was so much opposition to the marriage. In such a situation Priya said to their parents, 'I will commit suicide if I cannot marry him.'

So at one stage marriage took place with the permission of their parents. No one expected such an incident to happen in the life of those who got married like that," they say sadly.
