Director Atlee Kumar, who is currently busy with Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, his Tamil debut, is back in the news for another wonderful reason. The Theri and Mersal director became a father for the first time with actress wife Priya Atlee recently.

Taking to their Twitter and Instagram handles, the couple posted a cute motion picture, "Yes the name is MEER. Very happy to be revealing our little angels name'(sic) wrote the ecstatic parents, who also left a couple of red heart emoticons along with an angel, referring to their son. However, they chose to keep the baby boy's face invisible as yet.

Earlier, both Atlee and Priya have announced their pregnancy through a cute photoshoot. Later, they put out a picture announcing the arrival of their baby boy. Now, they shared the name of their child with the fans and followers. In Arabic, 'MEER' is a male name and means 'Chief.'

On the work front, Atlee Kumar is yet to finish the post-production works of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. The movie's poster was released recently and the makers also revealed the film's release date.

On September 7, 2023, Jawan will hit the screens all over the world in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Nayanthara is the film's female leading lady. Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, Riddhi Dogra, Astha Agarwal, Kenny Basumatary, and Priyamani are playing key roles in the movie. In addition, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, and Thalapathy Vijay are going to appear in cameos.

Gauri Khan produced the movie under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner. GK Vishnu cranked the camera and Ruben worked as the film's Editor. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's entire soundtrack and tunes. The movie is distributed by AA Films and Yash Raj Films. The movie was made on an estimated budget of Rs 220 Crore.

Jawan depicts Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role and is shot across locations in and around Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad.
