Lakshmi Ramakrishnan asked, "There are so many ladies in Tamil Nadu, but why did you marry your son to a london girl?"
Shobha Chandrasekhar replied, "It is not like that. It was not a plan at all. Deepa and Geetha came to our houe and said that they are sisters coming from London. They both came to see Vijay in the year 1996. Vijay was shooting at Film City for the movie 'Kaalamellam Kaathiruphen'. They went there and met Vijay as well. After that, they again came back in the year 1997 with a marriage proposal. My husband liked Sangeetha and we said ok for the marriage. Everything is God's will."
