The 11th edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2023 happened on a mammoth scale on September 15 and 16 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai. The event brought together the stars of the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam industries under one roof to celebrate and honour the talent.

The second day's event saw renowned personalities of the Tamil and Malayalam films getting recognized and awarded for their contribution and excellence in the crafts of cinema.

Legendary Kamal Haasan walked away with a couple of awards for his career's biggest hit Vikram. He took the stage by storm with his sheer presence and aura.

Kamal Haasan's Comments On Rajinikanth

The actor saw his most biggest success with Vikram, written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Ever since Lokesh Kanagaraj's next with Superstar Rajinikanth was announced (Thalaivar 171), many are curious about Kamal Haasan's reaction to their collaboration.

The Ulaganayagan took the stage of SIIMA 2023 to address and share his opinion on the issue. He said, "Lokesh Kanagaraj is my fan. I am happy that he is now directing Rajinikanth, my dear friend. We have been friends for many decades. Our friendship is rare and it is hard to find such friendships and relations among the younger generation."

Kamal Haasan is vigorously working on his prestigious project after Vikram, Indian 2. The sequel is being helmed by S Shankar. several notable actors are working on the project.

Rajinikanth's Work Front

The veteran, who scored his career's biggest blockbuster with Jailer, is working on Lal Salaam, under the direction of Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The action entertainer's shooting was completed as Lyca Productions announced a wrap.

Thalaivar 170 was announced with TG Gnanavel, who made Jai Bhim with Suriya. The pre-production works of the movie have already begun.

He will begin work on this much-hyped Thalaivar 171 with Lokesh Kanagaraj shortly.
