Imman Opens Up On His Rift With Sivakarthikeyan: He Betrayed Me, It’s Impossible To Forget & Compose For Him

It hasn't been long since there have been reports about a major rift between renowned music composer D Imman and actor Sivakarthikeyan. The music composer and actor duo have collaborated for several hits over the years. However, as per a recent buzz, Imman and Karthikeyan are not on talking terms with each other.

While the news has left everyone shocked, Imman has opened up about the rift and accused Karthikeyan of betraying him. Without divulging in details about what exactly went wrong between them, Imman in his interview with a Tamizha YouTube channel and said that while the reasons are personal, he can't forgive Sivakarthikeyan for betraying his trust following which it is difficult for him to collaborate with the actor in this lifetime.

"I was not aware and later came to know what he did. By the time I realised what had happened, it was too late. Hence, I would not work with him in the future. From my side, I confronted him. But, I cannot reveal what he said. If I am keeping mum and hiding certain aspects, it's only because of the welfare of my children. I don't care if society thinks bad about me. I know who I am, my God knows me and I am true to myself, my God, my society and my family. That's my major concern. Anything beyond that is not in my control. Certain things happen by chance and you cannot question why it happened to you," he added.

Furthermore, Imman also emphasised that while Sivakarthikeyan isn't the only one responsible, he did clarify that the actor was one of the main reasons. Imman further mentioned that while people tend to forgive each other and forget certain things, it is difficult for him to forget everything that happened and work with Sivakarthikeyan once again. "If I do that, I don't think I could be true to my art. I am not someone who works for money. I cannot betray my music. I need to be 100 per cent true to my art. It's impossible to forget and compose for him," Imman was quoted saying.
