Massraja Ravi Teja's latest suspense thriller film Ravanasura, which was directed by Sudheer Varma, hit the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. The movie was made available for streaming on April 28 and it became an instant success. Within a day of its premiere on OTT, the movie was ranked in the second position all over India. Sushanth, Sriram, Faria Abdullah, Megha Akash, Anu Emmanuel, Daksha Nagarkar, Poojitha Ponnada, and Rao Ramesh among others played crucial characters in the film.

Sai Dharam Tej's latest supernatural entertainer directed by Karthik Dandu, Virupaksha, completed a successful first week's run at the box office. The movie which stars Samyuktha as the female lead is continuing to run on the screens irrespective of competition in the form of Ponniyin Selvan 2 and Agent. By the end of Virupaksha's first week, the movie made a whopping Rs 40.55 Crore from all over India.

Akhil Akkineni's latest spy action thriller titled Agent hit the screens all over the world on April 28. The movie which stars Mammootty and Dino Morea in key roles, directed by Surender Reddy, met with a lukewarm response at the box office. Amala Akkineni, Akhil's mother reacted to the trolling of Agent. She said, "I understand that trolling comes from inner insecurity and needs for achievement. I watched Agent yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the film. Though, it had its flaws, if you watch with an open mind you’ll be amazed. I watched it in a power-packed theatre while 50% of the audience among are ladies who are mothers and grandmothers along with their husbands and sons. There were screams when the big action happened. Superstar Rajinikanth flew down to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh to take part in the centenary celebrations of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. For about 25 minutes, Rajinikanth spoke about NTR in the presence of thousands of fans, NTR's son-in-law, former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, NTR's son Nandamuri Balakrishna among others, in Telugu. He shared how he looked up to Sr NTR even before he became an actor. By mentioning that 'Pathala Bhairavi,' is the first film he ever watched on the screen, Rajinikanth shared several anecdotes and heaped praises on NTR. I felt nervous when working on the film titled Tiger with Sr NTR. Before that, I was involved in day and night work and got habituated to several habits. Everybody said no from the Tiger unit also, but Rama Rao garu asked the producers to take care of me well keeping in mind my future." Owing to the positive response to PS 2, more theatres were added and the number of shows has been increased, to make the most out of the opening weekend.
