Both Dulquer Salmaan and Venky Atluri are reeling under the success of their respective films Sita Ramam and Sir aka Vaathi. The duo joined hands for an interesting project which is yet-to-be-named. Bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments banner by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and S Soujanya, the movie will be released in all major southern languages. On June 13, on the occasion of GV Prakash Kumar's birthday, the makers of the film announced his association with their project 29. The details of the film's female lead and other cast will be revealed soon.

Actress Aishwarya Rajesh's recent thriller Farhana, which hit the screens to a positive reaction from critics and filmgoers is all set to make its OTT debut, to reach out to a wider range of viewers. As per the available information, Farhana might start streaming on SonyLIV on June 16. An official announcement is however awaited from the parties. The movie is written and directed by Nelson Venkatesan. The film stars Jithan Ramesh, Selvaraghavan, Aishwarya Dutta, Kitty, and Anumol among others.

Actor Suriya is currently working on his career's biggest movie to date, Kanguva, a pan-India film. He has been delivering successes consecutively both on OTTs and the silver screen. The versatile actor is now back in the headlines for his grand Bollywood debut. As per the buzz that is doing the rounds on the internet, Suriya is in talks with acclaimed director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, for a film about Karna, a mythological epic. The movie is a two-part film and is based on the literature of Mahabharatha. If things go as per plans, the movie might hit the floors in 2024. Meanwhile, Suriya also committed to another film with his Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara.
