Superstar Rajinikanth is on cloud nine as his recent blockbuster success, his career's biggest, Jailer is still going strong at the box office worldwide. The septuagenarian actor is ecstatic about the same and is positively looking forward to his upcoming films.

Rajinikanth signed two films- one with Jai Bhim fame TG Gnanavel, referred to as Thalaivar 170. While there are high expectations for the film as two talent powerhouses are coming together, Anirudh Ravichander's addition to the project has amplified them. There is also another latest piece of news about Rajinikanth's other film, Thalaivar 171.

Thalaivar 171 is a film that Rajinikanth committed with none other than writer-director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie is supposed to go on floors after Thalapathy Vijay's Leo hits the screens. However, in a shocking development, the internet and the Kollywood media are abuzz about Lokesh Kanagaraj's exit from the project.

While there is no official confirmation on the same, it is also learned that the characterization and style of Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 171 will be on the lines of Muthuvel Pandian of Jailer. Since Jailer is already a massive success, Lokesh is revising his decision to improve the same character for Rajinikanth. In light of this news, rumour mills are spreading the news about his exit from the project.
